Program Title: Movies and Football

Description: Tie local high school football and movies together at your library. You can hang a big sheet up, serve popcorn and hotdogs and show a movie such as Remember the Titans, Friday Night Lights or something such as that. Please note that you will need a movie license or have public performance rights.

Notes: Two movie licensing providers are Movie Licensing USA or Motion Picture Licensing Corporation.

Experience with Program: You can charge a cost recovery for the food. Have people bring blankets to sit on the floor or ground. This is a great way to bring the family together and there is already hype around football - so movies about football will bring them in. You could tie this in with other sports throughout the year.
